Terms of Service

1. Service Scope

ReadyServer provides one-time VPS (Virtual Private Server) setup, security hardening, and configuration services. Our service includes but is not limited to: operating system installation, web server configuration, SSL certificate installation, firewall setup, SSH hardening, automated updates, and a sign-off document detailing all work performed.

Each service tier (Starter, Business, Enterprise) has a defined scope as described on our website at the time of purchase. Additional work outside the described scope requires separate agreement.

2. Payment Terms

All pricing is once-off. There are no recurring charges unless you explicitly add Monthly Server Care or other add-on services.

Payment is due before work begins, via PayFast or another agreed-upon method. Once work has started, the fee is non-refundable. If we are unable to complete the service due to server inaccessibility or client non-cooperation, the fee remains payable for the work performed.

3. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide root or administrative access to the VPS via SSH key or temporary credentials
  • Own or have legitimate authority over the VPS being configured
  • Inform us of any existing configurations, software, or compliance requirements before work begins
  • Change credentials provided to us immediately after handover
  • Maintain the server after handover (or add Monthly Server Care for ongoing support)

4. Liability Limitations

ReadyServer and JulaTech Support provide configuration and hardening services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, performance, or security of your server after handover. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service tier purchased.

We are not liable for: data loss due to client actions after handover, third-party software vulnerabilities, hosting provider outages, or issues arising from client modifications to our configuration.

5. Data Handling

We collect only the information necessary to perform the service: your name, email, VPS credentials (temporary), and server configuration details. Credentials are changed immediately upon access and delivered securely in the sign-off document. All temporary credentials are deleted after the support window closes. 6. Support Window

Each tier includes a support window: Starter (7 days), Business (14 days), Enterprise (30 days). During this period, we will address configuration issues related to the original scope at no extra charge. After the support window, additional assistance requires a separate engagement or Monthly Server Care.

7. Intellectual Property

All configuration work, scripts, and documentation produced during the service belong to the client upon delivery. ReadyServer retains no ongoing access or rights to your server or data after handover.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement before work begins with a full refund. Once work has commenced, termination does not entitle the client to a refund for work already performed.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
